Obituary of Gary A. Mears

Gary Allen Mears, 62 of Milton passed away unexpectedly at his home on April 15, 2019.  He was born in Burlington, Vermont on February 8, 1957, the son of Paul W. Mears and the late Doris Lafayette Mears of Milton.

He attended Milton High School and while growing up, he worked on the family farm.  After leaving the farm, Gary worked for Cyr Lumber and other laborer positions with The Rowley Farm and Sawyer Construction.

Gary leaves his father, Paul Mears of Milton, two brothers, Steven Mears and his wife Deborah of Somersworth, NH, Philip Mears and his wife Diane of Milton, and one sister, Martha Coleman and her husband, Christopher also of Milton.  He also leaves his aunts Jane Lafayette of Milton, Elsie Sumner of Newport, Norma Lafayette of Milton and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Gary was predeceased by his mother, Doris Mears on October 10, 2014 and his brother, Thomas Mears on February 14th of this year.    

The Mears family would like to thank Channon Winterbottom for all the help and care that she gave to Gary over the past months/years of his life.  It is greatly appreciated. 

Visiting hours will be held at Minor Funeral Home from 11-1 on Monday April 22, 2019 with a funeral service immediately following at Minor Funeral Home.  Burial will be private with family members only.
