To say that I will miss my Father is a large understatement. As in many Father/Son relationships it had its ups and downs, but overall we had way more ups over the years. There are so many fond memories I have, it is hard too think about those that stand out the most. One of my fondest was our trip to Yellowstone in 2001 (I believe). It was quite the kick to have my Dad tromping through the woods with me to get close enough to take a picture of the flora and fauna of Yellowstone. I will post a couple of the photos I have of him by the falls and at the entrance of the park. Another photo is one with him and the saloon girls in Cody, Wyoming. in the summer they have a "shootout" in the streets with a salon setup in the street and it is quite the show. He had a ball watching the whole thing and just have a picture taken with the girls :)
My heart also goes out to Sandy. She is a person that I learned to love, over the years. When she first married my Father it was difficult and i was not a happy camper with my new stepmother. I made it difficult for her to be around me and as time went on things changed and it was much better.
There is so much more I can say but I will leave it with this:
Father, as you start your next journey keep a keen eye out for the greatest of all White Tailed Deer - He is out there, and when you see him, tip your hat and smile, because he was able to elude one of the best hunters I have ever known or ever will know.
Your Son
