Dear Barb and family,
My sisters and I are so sorry for your loss.
It's been a very long time since we were neighbors on Athens Drive but my family will always remember your family. My parents, Marge & Bill Ledoux, thought the world of you & Joe. My baby sister Kristin (Kissey) got the most unique haircut from Brian when they were just little kids who happened to find a pair of scissors. We used to think that Kissey and Brian were the cutest couple on Athens Drive!
We hope all of your wonderful memories will bring you comfort in this difficult time. You are all in our prayers.

Something must've led me to look at the obituaries in the Free Press today. I am so saddened to read about Joe's passing! I met him many years ago at Holy Family rectory and we instantly connected and talked about our common Italian heritage. We both served our churches and bumped into each other frequently in Essex Jct. He was such a nice man and reminded me of my own father, always smiling and happy. He left such an impact on me and I thought of him often. He loved his family. I am so sorry for your loss. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers and I hope your memories bring you some comfort.

I was so very saddened by the news of Joe's passing. He really was a great friend to me, always smiling and willing to help. He had a knack of making you feel comfortable around him.
Even though I live far away now I still feel close to the family because Joe and Barb make you feel that you are part of their lives.
Please accept my sympathy as you go through the next phase of your lives knowing that Joe has made it home to the heavenly kingdom to be with Jesus and is waiting for us all.

I was fortunate to get to know Joe through the Knights of Columbus. In the quarter century we've known each other Joe and I have served more dinners and lunches than I can count. The man knew how to rock a blue apron. He looked good in a cape, too. I know that I, and all of Joe's brother Knights, will miss seeing him at our future meetings and events. My thoughts and prayers are with his family in this difficult time.

Very fitting and beautiful obit for joe, as he was a beautiful person. One of my personal memories of joe that will always be in my heart. Laying in the sun on my deck on a beautiful day at the lake I heard a woman call out for help. Joe saw she was in distress and quickly went to her rescue, regardless of his inability to swim himself. He did what was in his heart to do to save the woman, overcoming his fear. A man with the biggest smile and heart will be missed. Stay well barb, we love you,

Our entire family has so many memories of time with Joe. My parents, Ray and Laurette LaChance, so enjoyed being camp neighbors, and our entire family thought of Joe as a very special part of our family. When you came into his presence you felt special. He welcomed you with his whole spirit, and his smile echoed that welcome. Joe had a love for life and for the people in his life, and if you were lucky to be one of those people, you were indeed blessed. My deepest sympathies to Barb and all of his beautiful family.

God needed a very good man to join Him in Heaven! Joe was one of a kind, being the type of person who was always there to help everyone else. He would stop whatever he was doing and help his family, friends, Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the needy. No task was to difficult for him. Joe was a true friend with a perpetual smile that captured everyone. His Catholic Faith was his foundation where he served the church, the Knights of Columbus and especially his family. We are saddened that Joe is gone and send our sincere prayers and condolences to Barbara and family. Bob and Pat
