we send our condolences to the entire Duffy family... We came in contact with this wonderful man more than a few times, recently to help build a fence around his land so his cows could graze... Seeing how much this meant to mike made it worth more than gold, we shared laughs and moments we couldn't trade for anything! Mike touched our hearts that very day, watching this man tough it out and smile and laugh and carry through like nothing was going to take him down . We admire him greatly for his humbleness, kindness, and strength.. Mike we will miss you greatly and We believe in our hearts you are up there watching down on your family...you will shine on through and with your children . We love you all. So sorry for the Duffy family's loss. The town of Milton and State of Vermont lost a man that was the epitome of being a real Vermonter. I always looked up to mike during the years hanging around the fields on East Road. Waiting to see the Big Black Chevy come down the hill to see who was in his field. He was like a big brother and just like the commercial from years ago, there was a lot of us that (just like the Michael Jordan commercials) "Wanna be like Mike." We will miss you Mike and will see you again on the big farm above driving Big Black through the mud holes of Heaven.

Times like these are not easy. And finding the right words to express are delicate. In my Milton, VT years,1996 +, the Duffy family were a very close part in my life, Mike Sr., Martha and Mike Duffy opened up their home to me on several occasions and for extended months at a time. They were family... I considered Mikey a brother. We all went through some hard times and we went through some hilariously great times. I will never forget Mikey's laugh, as we shared many. He is one of most humble, genuine and giving souls I've ever met in my life....
My deepest regards to the entire family and friends connected to this beautiful soul. May the healing be quick, and bound you together deeper more.
