I remember Jim and Peggy fondly as fellow first responders from when we served together as volunteers for the Clearbrook Volunteer Rescue Squad - Roanoke County Rescue 7 - it was an honor, privilege, and true pleasure to serve alongside both of them as they were always dedicated to giving only their best to our shared vocation. May Almighty God hold all of those who are mourning his passing from this life in his comforting, loving, and healing embrace until they are reunited in eternal glory in God's presence. To Peggy, Mike, and Greg ( his two son's with whom I walked the halls of CSHS) you and all your family are in my prayers in this difficult time - I can only imagine how difficult it must have been dealing with the awful disease that clouded and destroyed such a brilliant mind - maybe when he is in the presence of the Almighty he can use his formidable mind to convince God to banish that condition from this world.

Thanks, Mike - I can recall a making a few runs with Clearbrook RS - For I would often carry radio with me when home or on leave from the Marines, For that was something we helped with in Hinesburg and even Grand Isle Vermont, Mom even joked about somedays the runs would come to them. I hope all is good with you and your family - Be safe and good and may see you at CSHS's 45th. Mike

My heartfelt sympathies to Peggy, Tom, Heidi, Damian, Maureen and Tom's brothers and their families. I am left with wonderful memories of your husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather. A good man, bright, always interesting and with a warm heart. Know that I am with you in spirit and share in your loss. May God's divine comfort console your family during this difficult period.
