Sally,Sally....Growing up in the neighborhood, my great grandmother Lena, lived in the front of the house,Sally and Bernard and the boys in the back. When Dean and I were about 12, Sally inspired us to get into buying and selling Antiques. That summer we built a little shop, she named it “Ye Olde Shanty” and with her help, we had a successful summer business.
Here we are, 50 years later and both Dean and I are still “trapped” by her influence.Sally had a wealth of knowledge about our Johnson family history, stories, dates, etc..that was always interesting to listen to.
Holidays were always at the family home, fun to stop by, Sally at work catering to all and especially aunt Clarabel whom she adored!
Sally’s distinct voice, her laugh, her smile I will miss.
The last time we spoke, she said” I just don’t feel like myself”........here is hoping Sally, that you now are at peace.
Dean, Marcella, Jesse, Luke and Family.....my thoughts are with all of you
