My condolences to Charlie's family. He was one of a kind, and such a gentle soul. I am going to miss our long talks, friendly hugs, and the warm smiles we shared. He was a huge supporter of the teams I coached. So much so, that we asked him to sit in the dugout with us during games. Rest in peace Charlie!

Nancy and family, I am very sorry for your loss.
Charlie was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed by me and the entire athletic community at Winooski High School. I will particularly miss the opportunity to chat with Charlie while he safely and expertly ferried our team to our destinations around Northern Vermont. Learning about his time in the Navy, running the farm, his good friends in the Masons and driving coach was a pleasure. He always had a smile, some treats for the girls, good advice and encouragement for me after a particular tough outing.
As the team would exclaim at the end of every road trip, "Thank you Charlie!!"

My condolences to the Littlefield family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. My mom, Evelyn, went on many bus trips with Charlie and that’s how I met him. Such a nice, friendly man. Then I would see him at Winooski Spartans games, as he was their bus driver and I know the kids loved him as their driver and team supporter! May you Rest In Peace, Charlie.

Our deepest condolences goes out to the family and friends of Charlie. We have lost a dear friend, driver, and Mentor to Mountain Transit.
When Talking to Winooski district Dennis told me " who else can say that they have their own personal driver. Winooski sporting programs would always request Charlie to drive for them. Charlie would always change plans if at all possible so he could accommodate the ever changing bussing schedule and always with a smile.
We will miss him.

I am forwarding condolences from my Dad, Stan Henry. He says, "Charlie and I were good friends," and that they had been for a long time. They were Masons together. Dad said Mr. Littlefield had been stopping in every week or two until recently and he has been missing him. He was definitely one of those Milton people who make this town a friendly place to live. My deepest sympathy to the Littlefield family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
I remember Charlie fondly from when he first started driving school buses and doing trips to charter coaches when we branched out and bought Mountain Transit's first two MCI's. Charlie was the first coach driver for Mountain Transit! And those coaches weren't easy to drive: four speed non synchro transmission that you had to double clutch without a tach! Charlie jumped in and did it, but he sure didn't like the trips to the city. In later years, we became fellow drivers at Premier and enjoyed some trips together.
Charlie was a special person with a huge heart and he will be missed greatly.
