Obituary of Everett Willis Shangraw

Essex Junction – Everett Willis Shangraw, 92, died peacefully Sunday evening, January 10, 2021 at his home in Essex Junction. Everett was born on December 8, 1928 in Burlington, the son of Clifford and Beatrice (Wells) Shangraw. Everett had proudly served during Vietnam in the US Navy and worked as a machinist at General Electric for many years. He was married to Patricia Steady and was a member of the Milton United Congregational Church. Everett was a season Lake Monster ticket holder, and loved all Boston teams and the New York Giants. Everett was an officer with the VFW, and a member of the Masons and the Eastern Star. He was an exceptionally good and very kind hearted person. In addition to his loving wife Patricia of Essex Junction, he is survived by his children Everett Shangraw Jr. and his wife Nelsy of Miami, Marjorie Bowin and her husband Jerry of So. Burlington, Linda Salmon and her husband Michael of Milton, George Shangraw and his wife Karen of Mississippi and Robert Shangraw and his wife Linda of Manchester, NH., and his step children, Guy Paradee and his wife Maureen Carl of Sudbury, Debbi and her husband Joe of Burlington, Mike Paradee and his wife Martha of Bakersfield, Scott Paradee of Milton, Penny Terry and her husband Tim of St. Albans by 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, his brothers Gerald and Richard Shangraw and his sister Janet Yeski. He was predeceased by his brothers Allen and Clifford Shangraw and his sisters Virginia Pendriss, Audrey Taylor and Patricia DeMag. Due to COVID, there will be no services at this time.
