Obituary of Beverly Joanne Brisson
Milton - Beverly J. Brisson passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday October 9, 2016 at the Northwestern Medical Center. Beverly was born in Burlington, VT, the daughter of Silas Wells, Sr. and Mildred (Lamphere) Wells. She graduated from Milton High School. She married Robert J. Brisson, Sr. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Milton, VT. They settled in Milton and raised three children, Robin, Robert, and William. Her career included positions at the Milton Town School District, Ladd Medical, and owning her own businesses starting in 1973 which included The Curiosity Shoppe, Country Fabrics, Vermont Treasures and most recently Bev’s Florist. She enjoyed being a part of her community and was an active member of St. Ann’s Parish, the Milton PTA, Vermont Hand Crafters, and St. Ann’s Cemetery Association, hosting bus trips, traveling, participating in craft shows, and bingo. Beverly always had a kind word and smile for everyone. She dearly loved her family and friends and because of her example of loving-kindness to others there will always be someone passing kindness on. Beverly was a wonderful woman with a BIG heart.
Beverly was predeceased by her husband Robert Sr., and her father, Silas, Sr. She will be greatly missed by her family and is survived by her mother Mildred Wells her daughter Robin Brisson and husband, Michael Cote, son Robert Brisson and partner Lori Donna, son William Brisson and fiancée Hendrika Braddock. Her grandchildren Rhonda Santos and Mathew Cote. Great grandchildren Joel Justice and Marcus Santos. Her sons partners children Anne Marie, Cami and Paul Donna; and Paul and Alex Ortega. Sister Ethel ‘Trudy’ Miner and husband Richard, brother Silas Wells, Jr. and wife Gail. Brother in-law Marcel Brisson and wife Sally, and sister-in-law Jacqueline (Brisson) Gover. She also leaves behind her special friend of 10 years Rene Cloutier.
Special Thank You to Beverly’s beloved nurse Jane and charge nurse Meaghan and the entire nursing staff at Northwestern Medical Center and to the ‘Minor Boys’ who are like family.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, October 13th from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Minor Funeral and Cremation Center, Milton, Vermont.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann’s Parish, Milton, VT on Friday, October 14th at 11:00 a.m.
