Obituary of Andrew Jon Benson

Andrew Jon Benson 47 of Alburgh, Vermont passed away unexpectedly June 19, 2020. Andrew was on May 23rd, 1973, the youngest son of Albert James Sr. and Willene (Findlay) Benson. Andrew lived in Isle La Motte and Alburgh until his teen years when he moved to Florida, and then he moved back to Vermont for the last 9 years. Andrew was predeceased by his parents. He leaves behind his son Jon Paul Benson of Crystal River Fl, his brothers: (Jim) Albert and wife Deborah Benson of North Hero, VT; Leonard Benson of Pinellas, FL; Paul and wife Kim Benson of Milton, VT. Nephews: Christopher, Albert, Dylan and Nieces: Shayna and Megan. Andrew had a great love for his family and friends. He was always willing to help a friend in need. For a time, he was a Volunteer Firefighter with the North Hero Vol. Fire Dept. When he was younger, he was in the Civil Air Patrol. Andrew had a great love for fishing and hunting. He worked most of his life as a Certified Welder. There will be a graveside Funeral for Andrew at the Richford Cemetery at 1257 South Richford Rd. Richford Vt., at 1:00 pm Sunday July 5th. Pastor Pete Fiske will be officiating. In the future, as social distancing allows, we hope for a celebration of Andrews life!
