Obituary of Richard John Dupaw

Winooski – Richard J. Dupaw, 70, died June 22, 2020 at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester with his family by his side. Richard was born on May 11, 1950 in Colchester the son of Robert J and Constance (Benoit) Dupaw. He had worked for the VT Furniture Co. for many years. Richard served as a past VP and Treasurer of the Radio Amateurs of Northern Vermont, and was a member of St. Andrew Society of VT and of the Northeast Fiddlers Assoc. He married Karen Nadeau on November 12, 1978 in Burlington. He is survived by his wife Karen and his daughter Beverly Smith and her husband Trevor of Jericho, his granddaughters whom he adored, Katerin and Kora, his sister Joan Bettis of Morrisville and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, both his brother Robert H. Dupaw and his wife Linda, his sister Betty Dupaw, his brother-in-law Joseph Bettis. Memorials in Richard’s memory may be made to St. Andrew’s Society of VT. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 4-6 pm at the Minor Funeral Home in Milton. A funeral will be held on Friday at 11am for the family and close friends. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Colchester.
