I am sorry to hear about Sid's passing. I was a fire fighter with him in Shelburne and also involved in the start up of the Shelburne First Response Squad in 1984-85. Sid was in integral part of forming the squad and was not just a Chief of the squad, he was the first!! He moved out of town shortly after, but what we started eventually evolved into Shelburne Rescue. Rest in Peace, Chief.

Jeri and the rest of Sid's family: Our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. Many of us remember Sid and his work with students here at Northlands. He had so much patience as he taught scores of students how to sand and paint! Sid was such a nice man and a role model of how to be a gentleman. I am sure you miss him terribly. Sue Magill and the technical training team at Northlands Job Corps Center.

Jeri, Shawna, Shawn, Sidney Jr., Jennifer, and Families, on behalf of the 4th Degree Members of the Knights of Columbus of Vermont, please accept our condolences...Every Knight of Columbus is entrusted to the care of Mary, the Mother of God, and we carry the Rosary as the sign of our dedication to her and to her Son. Confident in her motherly love for us all, we entrust the soul of our brother, Sid, to her, that she may present him to her Son. As an expression of our fraternal concern and as the District Master of the 4th Degree of Vermont, I will pray the rosary of Our Lady in his honor. May God's Grace be a shining light in your hearts for those we love don't go away, they are walking besides us every day.

I got to know Sid through St. Ann’s Church of the Knights of Columbus. I always enjoyed talking to him, especially about his love of teaching kids at Northland. Making a difference in their lives for them and society. God bless you Sid. Prayers to the family.

Jennifer, Sidney Jr and family
Your dad was a great guy, he would never lose his cool with us kids even when we were horsing around and wouldn't listen. I remember riding in the Grand national with him and Sid Jr, we would razz him to get on it... He did a little then he set the Cruise control to 67 so he wouldn't be tempted to do it again an possibly get a ticket. Great memories.Thoughts and prayers will you all.
