Obituary of Susan G. Sterling

Colchester – Susan G. Sterling, 68, died peacefully on Sunday June 7, 2020 at her home, with her loving husband by her side. Susan was born on January 25, 1952 in Burlington, the daughter of Bernard and Catherine (Mitchell) Basiliere. She married Aaron Sterling on December 4, 1976 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Burlington. Sue attended Burlington High School. She was a meticulous person and loved spending time with family and friends, especially playing cards. She had worked for Secure Financial Services for many years. Susan is survived by her husband Aaron Sterling and her granddaughter Heidi Sterling, both of Colchester. She is also survived by her sisters and brother Joyce Bleau, Barbara Bushway, Bernard Basiliere Jr., Mary (Chris) Moore, her brother-in-law Robin Sorrell, Aaron’s mother Doris Sterling of Browington, VT and Fl., Aaron’s siblings Harley Sterling and Diane Ruhl, Robert Sterling and wife Rebecca, Michael Sterling and wife Dory, Pamela Brigante and Gill Myott and Harry Sterling. She was predecease by her son Ernie “Cricket” Sterling in 2005, her parents, her sisters Shirley Ward and Elaine Sorrell, her father-in-law Richard Sterling, her nephew Justin, and her niece Samantha.
