Dear (Marlene) Sister Marlene Perrotte and all of Diane's Family;
We send our deepest condolence in the passing of your loved one.
With all of the many wonderful memories you have of your life with Diane, I hope they will help you during this most difficult time.
I have many wonderful memories of going to your family home on Lafountain St. in Winooski.
I attended ST. Louis Convent and ST. Francis Xavier Schools with (Marlene) Sister Marlene.
It is very difficult to have a sibling pass. I am the oldest of 12 children, we have had 3 pass. When I am together with my sister or one of my brothers, it does not take long before we are remembering funny stories of our loved one who passed.
With Sympathy,
Patrick & Virginia (Patnaude) McKenzie

Dear John and Family,
Our sincere sympathies go out to you all. Getting to know Diane is one of the nicest surprises that we have had since retiring. Her love of each and every one of her family members was truly evident in the stories and updates on each one. Even though we did not meet everyone she regularly filled us in on, we felt that we knew them. She cherished and was proud of each of you unconditionally. Diane's stories of her everyday life and childhood will remain with us always. Diane loved life We'll miss her infectious laugh, her sense of humor, her organizational skills, her angelic singing and the sight of her driving up Rt. 2 in her Miata after making pies at church will never be forgotten. There's so much more to say, but we pray for your healing and peace.
Love, Jean and Ken

So many memories I have of growing up in Winooski with my cousin Diane. We were both born in 1949, so were in each other's classes at St. Francis Xavier School. One of my first memories was in first grade, we were "caught" talking when we were supposed to be quiet. We stayed after school and held our tongues (literally) for what seemed like forever. Diane was the kind of person that you were drawn to immediately. Big, warm, inviting smile, hearty laugh and stories to tell, all packed into this petite loving lady. She'll always be loved, treasured and remembered; forever a member of the Desautels Loud and Proud Crowd!
As Diane always ended her emails or letters, I will end mine:
Your loving cousin

My deepest sympathies to John and the entire family. It is so sad to say goodbye to such a dear friend, but it is a comfort knowing she is no longer in pain. I will miss hearing her voice when she would update me on the entire family (which would take hours)! She loved you all so much. I will miss her humor and her big belly laugh. She was known for her cooking and always had the best appetizers at our gatherings. We still have a folder at work filled with her recipes (Jimmy Dean appetizers and double cheese spaghetti were the tops). After her retirement, when she came to visit our office, she’d come blaring through the door yelling, “Honey, I’m home!” I hope you yelled the same thing entering those Pearly Gates, Keefer. Rest In Peace my dear friend. Until we meet again. Love, Mary Gagne

Diane and I grew up together on LaFountain St In Winooski... from 2 year old playmates on to cheerleaders in high school,1967 high school graduation a friendship that lasted through the years on to the present.... 68 years of Beatles, Beach Boys,RoyOrbison, laughter, tears, boyfriends, and breakups. We moved apart but still kept in touch... still laughing and crying when we lost our third member of our LaFountain St trio (Annette) a few years ago. These last few years have been difficult for her (and family) with declining health yet she still managed to fight the good fight and tried to stay positive. She loved her family, of that I am certain and I know the hole in their lives that she leaves behind will be hard to fill. She was a force to be reckoned with!! I will miss our get togethers when I came home for a visit....a quick lunch that would stretch on for hours. She will be dearly missed but I feel better knowing she is no longer in pain. Dear Doisie , you will be missed!! Best wishes to John and family, and siblings Kenny, Marlene, and John

As a member of The Tuesday Night Ladies Bowling League, I send my deepest condolences to Diane’s family. I was sadden by her having to leave the league because of her shoulder. I got to bowl with and against her often since I was a sub at that time. She always was proud of her pin collection and that she wore a different one everyday she worked at UVM and never the same one twice! I am now saddened again, with her passing. RIP my friend.
