Obituary of Carol Fay Verchereau
Grand Isle – Carol Fay Verchereau, 82, died peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2020, at her home in Grand Isle, with her loving family by her side.
Carol was born on August 16, 1937 in Ticonderoga, NY, the daughter of Alfred and Dorothy (Francis) Hurlburt.
On March 2, 1957, she married Philip Verchereau at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in So. Burlington.
Carol enjoyed horses but her family was her main focus.
She is survived by her children Lisa Marie Boie and her husband Paul of Swansea, MA, Laurie Ann Robare of Grand Isle and James Arthur Verchereau and his wife Bridgett of Grand Isle. She is also survived by her grandchildren Daniel P. Larrow, Jennifer, Boie, Shannon Larrow Rasmussen, Seth Boie, Kristin Verchereau, Amy Verchereau, Candace Verchereau and Timothy Robare; by her great grandchildren Chandler P. Larrow, Ty Rasmussen, Carson Bunker, Tessa Rasmussen, Ahriannah Boie, Aaliayah Boie, Kayli May Bessette, Aden Krause, Paloma Lopez De Boie, Troy Rasmussen, Kade Krause, Noah Purre, Marisol Lopez De Boie, Aliyah Switser and baby Grayson, her brother Robert “Bobby” Hurlburt and sisters Beulah Charboneau and Mata Dufault and a special nephew Robert Hurlburt Jr. and his wife Sharron.
Carol was predeceased by her husband Philip “Fuzzy” Verchereau on Sept. 6, 2004, her daughter Robin Marie Verchereau at birth and her brother Leon Hurlburt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grand Isle with burial following in the Grand Isle Cemetery.
Burial will follow in the Grand Isle Cemetery.
