Obituary of JoAnne Rothenbeck

So. Hero – JoAnne Rothenbeck, 68, died peacefully on Thursday evening, April 9, 2020 at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester following a battle with cancer and multiple illnesses. JoAnne was born in Burlington on July 28, 1951, the daughter of Robert and Melba (Champagne) Lawrence. She graduated from Milton High School with the class of 1969 and from Champlain College in 1971. On October 5, 1974, she married Alan Rothenbeck at St. Rose of Lima in So. Hero. She enjoyed painting, coloring and most of all antiquing. She owned and operated Tinker’s Barn in So. Hero for over 43 years. In addition to Alan, her husband of over 45 years, she is survived by her son Jacob Rothenbeck, both of So. Hero, by her Uncle George “Bud” Lawrence of Enosburgh and by several cousins. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, JoAnne’s services will be postponed until the world is at a safer time and friends can attend. Burial will be in the family lot in the So. Hero Cemetery.
