Obituary of Ralph Frank Hayden

Milton – Ralph F. Hayden, 78, died Tuesday February 4, 2020 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington. Ralph was born on November 14, 1941 in Colchester, the son of Frank and Ruth (Blanchard) Hayden. He graduated from Milton High School and joined the Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Following his service, he married Paula Marie Sanville in St. Albans on November 13, 1966, settling in Milton, where they raised their daughters. He also began his career at General Electric, and eventually General Dynamics, where he worked 33 years before retiring. Ralph loved to tinker on things and rebuild things. He also enjoyed going to airshows, especially the Rhinebeck Air Shows, in Rhinebeck, NY. Ralph is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Paula Hayden of Milton, by his daughters Barbara Hayden and her fiancé Paul Erickson of Ferrisburgh and Jennifer Hayden and her husband James Welch of Milton. He is also survived by his granddaughter Abigail Hayden, his brother David Hayden and his sister Beverly Hayden, both of Milton. There will be no services at this time.
