I am just now learning of Diane’s passing, and am so deeply saddened by this news. I was Diane’s second grade teacher during her 1993-94 school year at Waits River Valley School. She was a very special part of the first class I taught after graduating college and receiving my teaching degree. I adored Diane, and simply loved being her teacher! She had the sweetest heart and smile, and I can still hear her 7 year old voice and giggle. I still have some of the many cards and drawings she made for me. I will treasure those. May you Rest In Peace, sweet girl. May your Angel wings be light and carry you to all the finest places in Heaven. Love you forever, kiddo!

I met Diane 4 years ago next month when we were both looking for help...I knew right away she was a special person, very beautiful and someone I could trust had a good soul. When it was time for me to leave the farm I asked her if she could give my speech. I had hoped we would be forever friends and kept in touch for a while until she had fallen... I'm so heart broken that her path was a rough one for her and we all lost such a great person! God is now holding her in a life free of pain and struggle. We all know she is definitely an angel.Rest in Peace chicky, love you forever and you will always be in my heart!
I want to give my deepest condolences to her family

I was so saddened by the news that Diane became another victim of the disease of addiction. I was Diane's English teacher, and she was among my favorites. She was sweet and respectful. A memory that stands out for me was at both of our last winter carnivals at Oxbow in 2004, the year she graduated. She straightened my very curly hair, reminding me throughout to "be still!"
I happily ran into Diane about a year ago, and it made me happy to hug her. She seemed to be her usual sweet self. Little did I know her struggles.
My wish is that her parents, family and friends can find some peace in knowing that she was loved and loved them. Rest in peace, Diane.

Diane was my first student at River Bend and I might say one of my favorites. I saw her a few years ago and it was like seeing my best friend. She was a wonderful young lady who I will always have fond memories of! Rest in peace dear Diane!
