This photo of Sharon is how I'll always remember her from my years working at BFA Fairfax. She always had a smile for everyone who walked into the library, and oh, how she loved all the kids. Praying for the family at this difficult time.

My heartfelt condolences to Bob, Kelley, Robyn, Brett and the entire family.
It is à propos that I write this on October 31. I have vivid memories of Sharon delighting the students and faculty as she visited classrooms clad in costume, and distributing goodies;while at the same time celebrating her birthday. I am among many who will miss her!

I first met Sharon at the library, like so many others! We had kids in the same class. How could we not become friends? Then we moved to Alaska. But who should contact us when they took an anniversary trip to AK? It was so nice to spend a few hours with them! She will be missed! My thoughts and condolences go out to the family.

Sharon welcomed our family in 1993 when we came to Fairfax and the library and throughout the years shared the most wonderful stories and her love of reading. She shared her Halloween birthday with our son which was always special to him. And once we moved to McNall rd, we spent many wonderful porch chats. She had a zest for life we will all miss so much. Her family and friends were truly blessed.

When my family moved to Fairfax in 2007 from out-of-state, the library was one of the first places we began visiting and it was there that we met Sharon. Sharon was always kind and welcoming to us and knew our names in no time! Sharon’s presence in the library is one of my first and fondest memories of Fairfax. My condolences to the family.

To visit the library at Bellows Free Academy was comparable to a trip home. You would be greeted by that broad, genuine smile and a story about a child or a grandchild. Sharon loved sharing her library space with all and made that visit memorable. She will be sorely missed by all whose path she crossed. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Sharon presented my first interaction with the Fairfax community when she hosted a prescription brown bag event at the town library in 1989. Fairfax could not have had a better ambassador and led me to opening the pharmacy in 1991. Alana and I will miss her warm smile, sense of humor and tender heart. We are so sorry for your loss.
