So sorry to be posting so late after Doug’s passing. We have great memories of our stay at the Pierson cottage in Ireland. We have been to Ireland many times, but there was something very special about the Burren.
Doug was a good guy; we know he will be missed. RIP

Doug and Pat have been special friends for over 50 years . We had many good times together, including wonderful trips to visit them in Florida. In addition though they were always right there to help if a crisis arouse in my life( and there were several). How we friends will miss Doug. He was such a caring and hospitable person. My heart and prayers are with you Pat. I remember meeting you walking along the road in Grand Isle, 5 or 6 years ago. In your own hospitable way you invited us in to your home. You and Doug always created a wonderfully open and warm environment for your friends.

Hello Mrs. Pierson,
I am very sorry to hear of Mr. Pierson's passing. Mr. Pierson was a good man and will be greatly missed. I have fond memories of playing tennis and swimming at the beach at Shelburne Point, and the time I stayed with you at your home on Shelburne Point during a visit to Burlington for 4th of July celebrations in 1998. I had the pleasure of getting to know Doug these past few months. He would always come in wearing his blue Hoka sneakers and a big smile ready to work. He was very appreciative, kind, sweet and had a youthful energy about him. I feel so lucky to have met him and was able to provide my services for his well-being.
