Obituary of Raymond Maurice Lamore Sr.

Essex Junction – Raymond M. Lamore, 85, died peacefully Wed. Oct. 16, 2019 at the Starr Farm Rehab Center in Burlington.

Ray was born on Nov. 4, 1933 in Winooski, the son of Alfred and Emma (Houle) Lamore.

On July 11, 1959, he married Mae Agnes Desso in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Burlington. 

Raymond had retired from General Electric.

He is survived by his children Pamela Millette and husband David of Georgia, Raymond Lamore Jr. and Amanda Collins of  Swanton, and Andrew Lamore and his wife Staci of Milton.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Brandy, Brad, Travis and Nathan, his great grandchildren Amrie, Raelynn, Scarlett and Violet, his brothers and sister William Lamore of Georgia, Robert Lamore of Georgia, Shirley Jennings of Bolton and James Lamore of TN,.

He was predeceased by his wife Mae in 2015, and his brothers and sisters Arthur, Alfred Jr., Clarence, Terry, Roland, Jeannette, Anita and Bev.

Visiting hours will be held on Sun. Oct. 20, 2019 from 3-6pm at the Minor Funeral Home in Milton.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Mon. Oct. 21, 2019

at 10 am in St. Pius Catholic Church in Essex Center.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
