Obituary of Barbara Jean Manning

Ladson, S.C. / Milton, VT – Barbara Jean Manning, 82, died Monday June 10, 2019 in Hollywood, S.C.

Barbara was born on September 27, 1937 in Colchester, VT the daughter of Edward and Agnes (Lafountaine) Peters.

On October 3, 1953, she married Franklin “Red” Manning at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Winooski, VT.

Barb loved spending time with her family, shopping, making Cursillo’s, and playing bingo and cards with friends.

She is survived by her loving husband Red Manning of Ladson, SC, her son Michael Manning and wife Mary Lou of Ladson, SC, her daughters Susan Goulette and her husband Ken of Summerville, SC and Holly Wooster and her husband Raymond of Brunswick, GA, by 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, her brothers Ken, Bob and Bill Peters and her sisters Bev Fay, Gail Cameron, Arlene Norton, Peggy Dillon and Shirley Bergeron. Several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her son Kevin Manning and granddaughter Melissa Manning, and by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Memorials in Barb's memory may be made to either the American Cancer Society, 55 Day Lane, Williston, VT 05495 or to the Hospice of the Champlain Valley, 1110 Prim Road, Colchester, VT 05446.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 4-7pm in the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton. A prayer service will be held at 7pm by Fr. Feltz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 11am in St. Ann Catholic Church in Milton.
