Obituary of Alice P. Cooke

Milton – Alice P. Cooke, 71, died peacefully Sunday evening April 28, 2019 at the McClure Miller Respite House in Colchester.

Alice was born on May 9, 1947 in Barton, the daughter of Amri and Beatrice (Martel) Vezina.

On July 8, 1967 she married Robert Cooke at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Barton.  She had worked at IBM, VT Mutual Insurance Co, Aubuchon Hardware, the Merchant’s Bank, and Charter One.

Alice was an avid reader and loved watching NASCAR Formula One, and hockey.

She is survived by her husband Bob Cooke of Milton, and her sons Keith Cooke and his wife Holly of Waterville and Steven Cooke of Milton and his partner Kerrie Pillsbury of Williston, by her grandchildren Morgan, Samantha and Ayden, by her sisters Jeannine Berard of Barton and Suzanne Kwiatkowski of Barre and her brother Henry Vezina of Barton and a very good friend Lorraine Willett.

She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Aline Custeau.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 1:30 – 3:30 pm. with a Funeral Service following at 3:30 pm in the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton.  Memorial contributions in Alice’s memory may be made to the McClure Miller Respite House, 3113 Roosevelt Hwy, Colchester, VT 05446.
