Obituary of Henry E. Aikey Jr.

WILLISTON - Henry E. Aikey, Jr., 59, of Williston passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the McClure Miller Respite House following a courage battle with cancer.  He was born in Glens Falls, New York on November 10, 1959 to Henry and Elizabeth Aikey.  Henry married Patty (Collins) Lozell on April 15, 2017. He was employed at Vianor Tire for many years and previously at Goss Tire. Henry enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on automobiles, camping and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Patty, daughters, Ashley Aikey, Gloria Merrill, Tabitha and Melissa, and grandchildren Alana and Donovan Merrill. He is also survived by his siblings Kelly, John, Nancy and Michael, many supportive friends and his faithful canine companion, Princess. Henry was predeceased by his parents. In keeping with Henry’s wishes, there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. A celebration of Henry’s life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Holy Cross Parish Hall in Colchester, Vermont, with interment following at 1:30 p.m. in Holy Cross Cemetery.
