Growing up neighbors with Richard and as a member of the scouting organization, and an Eagle Scout, meant the fall was always a visit to sell Boy Scout popcorn. But visiting him was much more than that. I’d anticipate long conversations, of all the hiking and traveling he’s done, his history with Troop 603, and when it was Troop 1. He was always a huge supporter of the program and for me. I was fortunate to have received a scholarship made in honor of his son, as I headed off to college. He was the model example of a good neighbor and a friend, and I he will be truly missed. My condolences to Marie and his family. It was a pleasure to have known him. Rest In Peace.

I can't look at your photo without bursting into tears. I wish I had seen you just one more time, as I know so many others are feeling the same way. My Dad would beam when talking about his days spent working with you. You brought humor to every situation and even though you seemed tough, I know you were a gentle soul who would help anyone who asked. Your good deeds will not go unforgotten, Uncle Dick. We will reminisce about you on every holiday, every event, and every time I see any Coke products or symbols I will think of you. I hope you and James are embracing and that you both know how much you are forever loved and missed. I love you, Uncle Dick. <3

I cannot imagine a world without Dick DuPont in it. I am truly devastated. Whether it was as family friend, Coach of Milton Football, or as the custodian at MFCC, Dick has always been there for me and my family. He made sure the high school concession stand was in perfect order so MH and crew could do their work every Friday night. He made sure his boys on the football team were in perfect respectful order as they paid tribute to my mother at her funeral. I wonder if he will do the same for God in Heaven? He was wise advice to my brothers and me.He was loved and will be greatly missed.

Our entire family is heartbroken to hear the news. Coach Dupont had such a big impact on all of our lives and we are so grateful to have known him. Our town was blessed to have had him and his dedicated service and commitment to its youth for so many years.
