What a beautiful celebration, Julie. Sorry that we couldn’t stay for lunch. I have soooo many incredible memories of Roger as do others! I received numerous texts from former colleagues that Roger had passed. I fondly remember the trio, Bob Thomas, Wayne Calderara and Roger. Never to forget Bob, Roger and our incredible leader, Gloria Jacobs! Sending much love and prayers.

Phyllis, I didn't realize Roger was your brother until I reread the obituary.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Please know that you are in my prayers. I am planning on attending the funeral tomorrow. Stay well.
(You and I were in the class of 1971 at EJHS. We had a few classes together.)

Julie, We are so sorry for you and Roger...though I am glad he is no longer in pain. We will miss his kind face and warm greeting whenever we passed him in the neighborhood. Our hearts are full for both of you.

Julie, so sorry for your loss. May he be at peace and join your dad in watching over you and the family, until you can all be together again.
Thanks so much Paul and Jayne. It is comforting to think of him with Dad (probably sharing a joke or two about baseball and golf).

Roger and I grew up in the same great neighborhood and were friends and classmates, both graduating in 1965. I remember that he set up a chemistry lab in my parents barn and was always experimenting, sometimes blowing things up. Roger was really good at pole vaulting. He would practice in a field, landing on solid ground with no cushioning! I taught him how to dance and one year he took me to the prom probably because he was nervous about dancing with someone else.
Regretfully, I am out of state until May and will not be able to attend his funeral. I send my condolences to the family. May Roger Rest In Peace.
Sincerely,
Carol Bechtel Hathaway

So very sorry to hear of Roger`s passing. We knew each other well. We worked together for many years at the State Dept of Mental Health, and back in the 1970`s, we served in the National Guard together. We enjoyed talking baseball and played on softball teams as well. Roger was a great guy. Extremely bright, well liked, and one of the greatest wits and sense of humor I`ve ever known. He will be missed.

Roger and I have known each other since grade school. When we were teens, we played golf together at Williston Country Club. In 1968, Roger took over my apartment in Burlington when I graduated UVM and left for the Army. We shared several hours talking about our involvement in Field Artillery. I will remember our many chats about various mutually enjoyed subjects. Peace be with you, Roger; I will remember you for your good wit and friendship.
