Dear Morway Family
So sorry to hear, I just read it in the Union paper. I remember David the 3rd year out of MMA (Class of 1985). I was a Second Engineer on the Sam Cobb, he was Captian. I then ran into him many years later on a MSC ship I was Chief and he still was Captain.. He was a great person and so easy to work with. I remember his stories about your home and the long distance it was from the main road.

To Dave's Family,
Dave was a classmate at Fryeburg Academy and I have fond and happy memories of him. He was a good guy and well liked by all. He will be missed at the upcoming 50th reunion of our class.
Dave's death is painfully premature and I wish you God's Peace as you come to terms with it.

Dave was a good friend, Classmate at MMA and fellow Captain, I was on the sistership to the GUS DARNELL, and we sailed together in Convoy in the Persian Gulf in the 1980's. I will remember him as a steady hand with a great sense of humor and will always remember him as a kind and generous guy. We had many memories of our experiences at MMA, I particularly remember that he won the beard growing contest on our European cruise even though he started a day late. He will be missed by everyone who knew him and Barbara and I wish his family the very best in this sad time.

Dear Ann and family,
I wanted to reach out with my condolences for your loss of Dave. We were 1973 MMA classmates and- during our freshman year, along with two others, were room mates. As I remember there were quite a few times, during that freshman year, when he would have to help us (one of his 3 other roommates) get ready for a post-midnight 'room inspection' ordered the previous day as a result of an infraction by one us....I will always remember him as a very friendly, supportive and 'even keel'
man. He will be sorely missed. Our prayers are with you.

We were saddened to hear of Dave's passing. He recently reached out to John to share his experience with Multiple Myeloma having learned of John's recent diagnosis. This was a kind and generous thing to do and it meant a great deal to both of us. Dave will be missed and remembered by many. We send our love and healing thoughts to his family and friends.
