Obituary of Robert Jameson Paynter

Robert Jameson Paynter, 97, died Monday January 14, 2019 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.  Robert was born on October 28, 1921, in Woolwich, London, England, the son of Robert Jameson Paynter Sr. and Mabel Beatrice (Smith) Paynter.  He was educated in the British Seconday School Standards and served in the British Royal Artillery from 1939-1942 and saw military service in WWII.  He had owned his own Graphics Art business, designing artwork for several Commercial Stores, including Sears.    Bob was married to Marie Paynter for many years.  In addition to his former wife Marie, of Jeffersonville, he is survived by his brother Harold Quinton of Suffolk's England.

There will be no visiting hours or services in the United States.  At Bob's wishes, he was flown to England, where he will be interred in the Paynter family cemetery lot at a later date.
