Obituary of Dean Alan Thayer

Richford - Dean Alan Thayer, 78, died peacefully on December 12, 2018 at the St. Albans Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in St. Albans, with his son Brian by his side.

Dean was born on April 10,1940 in Burlington, VT, the son of Gerald and Theta (Dezotelle) Thayer.

He was a dairy farmer for all of his life.

Dean was predeceased by his wife Emma Jean Thayer and is survived by his children Dean Jr. of Burlington, Jamie of New York, Brian Thayer and his partner Christine Johnson of Richford and Rhonda Thayer of New York.  He is also survived by many grandchildren, his brohter Phillip Thayer and his wife Pearl of Fairfax, his sister-in-law Catherine Thayer of Fairfax and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to Emma Jean, he was predecesed by his brothers Marvin and William "Billy" Thayer Sr. and his sisters Patricia  and Geraldine.

In keeping with Dean's wishes, there will be no visiting hours or funeral services at this time.
