Obituary of Dale LeRoy Norse

Colchester, Dale LeRoy Norse, 64, passed away unexpectedly while shoveling snow on Saturday, December 1, 2018 in Fletcher.

Dale was born January 26, 1954 in Townshend, the son of the late LeRoy and Charlotte Wilkins Norse.  He had graduated from Burr and Burton Academy, Champlain College and Castleton State College and had been involved in the grocery business for over 35 years.

Dale was a longtime member of the Burlington Elks Lodge # 916. He was a man who loved being outdoors and was very passionate about both his vegetable and flower gardens. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his two children and their spouses; Nicole Cusson and her husband, Mark and Michelle LeClair and her husband, Ben both of Milton. The mother of his children, Madeleine Parent Norse of Burlington.  His four grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of his life, Matthew and Jacob Cusson and Celia and Luc LeClair; His two sisters, Gayle Otis and her husband, Michael of Maidstone and Wanda Stockman and her husband, Dale of Ascutney; His brother, Arnie Norse and his wife, Lisa of Bennington and his special friend, Bonnie McCray of Fletcher as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins and his faithful companion, Hunter. Besides his parents, Dale was predeceased by his in-laws, Ulys and Helen Parent.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 10 am in St. Francis Xavier Church in Winooski. Burial will be held in the spring.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 5th from 4 to 7 pm in the Minor Funeral Home, Route 7 in Milton.
