Dear Howard Family, I am sorry to have read of your loss; please accept my sincere condolences. Something that I have personally found to be of great comfort are the thoughts expressed at John 5:28&29. In these verses we find a wonderful hope for the future of being reunited with our loved ones again upon the earth as it was originally intended to be (Gen 1:28, Psalms 37:11,29) with freedom from pain, suffering and death. (Rev 21:4). Knowing this has comforted me greatly, for God cannot lie, and it is my sincere hope that these scriptures comfort your family as well. My deepest sympathies. I invite you to visit jw.org for more information on this comforting hope.

I am so sorry to hear of Wendy’s passing. I met Wendy when I began my work with the Town in 1972. I may not have seen Wendy for many months and even a year, but she would take the time to stop, say hi and ask how I’m doing. She didn’t ask and leave, she waited for an answer. Loving and caring, I believe, describes Wendy. She will be so missed by so many. Rest In Peace and may your family find peace in the memories that were made.

I'm so saddened by the sudden loss of Wendy. She was such a character, and I don't think I ever stopped laughing for more than about 30 seconds whenever we were so fortunate to have her visit Cousin Lynn in Virginia. She was always the life of the party -- actually, she WAS the party -- one of the most quick-witted and insightful people I've had the pleasure to know.
Godspeed, Wendy -- you will be sorely missed -- and condolences to the entire family.

DJ, Alex and Family,
I'm deeply saddened to hear of your terrible loss. I first became friends with Wendy back in 1982, when she was kind enough to let me join her carpool to the Federal building in Burlington, where I was starting my first real job out of high school. There was never a dull moment during our daily commutes! She was my first mentor, who always encouraged me to pursue my dreams, including furthering my education. Despite the fact that I've spent many years away from Vermont, we managed to always stay in touch through our Christmas cards, phone calls and occasional get-togethers during my visits home. I will always remember her friendship, kindness, humor and joy for life. She was an amazing person who will be greatly missed.

DJ, Alex, Marty, Jean Anne, Kathy, Deb Parker, Jim and Jill, I am so saddened to hear that Wendy has left us. I will always have fond memories of our times from elementary school through our high school years. Those were the good times and the best times. Wendy was always the center of activity...whether she was planning a beauty pageant sleep over or making us all laugh in class. Wendy was always there with a strong dash of sarcasm that made us laugh. She was a sensitive soul and she had a heart of gold. She was so proud of you, Alex. I'm praying for all of you. I know you all were so close and you must be devastated. She will live on in our hearts. She had a huge impact on all of us. Godspeed Wendy...I know you are sitting at the breakfast table right now with Leonard serving up the french toast and your beautiful Mother who always had a smile. We all loved you dearly.

DJ, Alex and family,
My sincerest sympathy goes out to you. Wendy’s passing has sent an unbelievable sense of sadness and shockwave throughout the Swanton Sector Border Patrol Community and beyond. Her loss is devastating but she made a profound impact on the many lives she touched during her 21 years in Swanton.
All of us who had the pleasure of working with Wendy from near and afar would call her a good friend and a good friend she was. Wendy was always “rockin” the Sector with never a dull moment. Her sense of humor drew you to her and her loyalty to friendship kept you close. She was caring, compassionate, sharp, witty and did I mention blunt. Yes, that too, but in only a way that Wendy could pull off.
In retirement as in work, Wendy continued to keep her Border Patrol family close and was always the glue that bonded so many of us together.
As much as she loved her patrol family, her family was the light of her life. Alex, we all got to see you grow up in the eyes and voice of your Mom and how extremely proud of you she was. You and DJ meant the world to her.
God Bless

I was very sad and shocked to hear that Wendy passed away so young. Although it's been 18 years since I worked with her. I worked with Wendy for many years at the Border Patrol. I had to laugh when I read in the obituary how she was known to correct poor grammer. She sure did do that! She should have been an English teacher! To this day, I think of her when people use double negatives in a sentence! She was smart, quick with her wit and I'm sure will be missed by many! My condolences to all of her family during this difficult time. Rest in peace Wendy!
