Obituary of Richard K. Gebo

Massena – Richard K. “Dick” Gebo, 77, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.  Following his wishes there will be no calling hours.  He will be buried in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Potsdam with Military Honors on Thursday November 15th at 11 am. 

Richard was born in Potsdam on June 28, 1941, son of the late Kenneth and Katherine (Richardson) Gebo.  He graduated from St. Lawrence Central School and served his country in the U. S. Air Force.  He worked at Massena Memorial Hospital as a Radiology Technician before moving to Indiana to work in the coal mines until he retired.

He enjoyed conversations and coffee with friends.

Dick is survived by his wife, Eileen, a daughter, Carrie Sessions of Michigan, two grandsons, Michael Gebo and Brandon Carlson, his cousin, Sue Stubbs of Brasher Falls, and a sister-in-law, Rita Gebo of Winthrop.  He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, David “Huffer” Gebo.
