Obituary of Kathleen Young Mason

St. George, Kathleen Young Mason, 72 passed away suddenly September 26, 2018, at her home in St. George where she had lived for the past forty years.

Kathleen was born June 5, 1946 in Granville, NY the daughter of the late Howard and Helen Sherman Young.  She graduated from Champlain College and was employed with the State of Vermont Department of Vocational Rehabilitation for over 40 years.

A family person, Kathleen loved her grandchildren and enjoyed being around and interacting with other people as well.  She found pleasure doing crafts, working in her flower garden, watching the birds and taking care of her cats.  She was very proud of the fact that she was a lifelong member of the Pawlet Community Church.

Kathleen is survived by her son, Roger Mason Jr and his wife, Bobbi of Sheldon; Grandchildren, Mariah, Hunter and Skyler; Her brother H. Robert Young and his wife, Vicki of Corvalis, Oregon; Her sister, Rosalie Pratt and her husband, Enoch of Wells, VT as well as several nieces and nephews.

As per Kathleen’s wishes, there will be no Funeral Service, however the family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 5 to 7 PM in the Minor Funeral Home, Route 7 in Milton.
