Obituary of Walter Andrew Archacki
Colchester – Walter A. Archacki, 73, died unexpectedly on Sunday April 22, 2018 at the University Of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
Walter was born on September 26, 1944 in New Britain, CT. the son of Walter and Anne ( Koniuta ) Archacki.
He graduated from St. Michael’s College with a degree in business. He had worked for General Electric as well as owning several businesses. Walt’s life was varied with many interest to include his remarkable culinary ability which surely could have made him a gourmet chef. Walt loved the ski slopes as well as being an avid golfer. A man of many talents, creating impressive gardens, mowing lawns to perfection and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Ask him a question and he was the answer man who could compete with any scholar. With his passing, many hearts will be broken.
Walt is survived by his wife Julie of Colchester and his children Sarah Brooks and husband Chris of Havertown, PA, Suzanne Counter and husband Kirk of St. Albans, Allyson Archacki of Colchester, Todd Archacki of NV, his “S” children Heather Dragon and husband Scott of Colchester, Steven Perron and Jason Perron, both of Colchester, his grandchildren Ean, Mara, Jordain, Zachery, Eliza, Julia, Haile and Olivia, his great grandchildren Aaiiyah and Aubriella, his sister Carol Nelson and husband John of Middletown, CT., his mother-in-law Esther Aikey of Colchester, his sister-in-law’s Sandra Gauthier and husband Kevin of Colchester, Barb Aikey and partner Cathy Ciampa of MA and his brother-in-law’s Joe Aikey and wife Debbie of Milton and Tim Aikey of Colchester, several nieces and nephews and his special friends Don Bourqe “Doggie”, Chuck and Iz Daley.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday April 27, 2018 from 4-7pm in the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday April 28, 2018 at 11 am in the Minor Funeral Home with burial following in the West Milton Cemetery.
