Obituary of Theresa C. Stowell

Theresa C. Stowell (Bushway), passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on February 20th, 2018 at the UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT surrounded by family and friends. 

Theresa was born April 21, 1935 in Grand Isle. One who loved doing things for others especially when it came to cooking and baking, her baked beans were always a requested item at family gatherings. 

She had a very long career at Shelburne Industries. She enjoyed her time with her loved ones including her monthly outings with her former coworkers at the Milton Diner and camping in Maine with her family.  She loved many things including shopping, her flower gardens, and watching hummingbirds.

Theresa is survived by her sons, Robert Stowell Jr. (Norma) and Richard Stowell (Peggy); Daughter Cindy Eagen (Mike); her grandchildren Tom and Todd Stowell, Melissa and Erin Eagen, Heather Lowe, and Sara Stowell along with her 10 great grandchildren; and her close friend Alice Buinicky and her daughter, Melodie Pierce to whom Theresa thought as one of her own children. She also leaves her special cousins, Patsy Irish, Janine Little, Sharon Meroa and Gloria Yandow.

She was preceded by her husband, Robert Stowell Sr. of 54 years and her brother Paul.

The family would like to thank the staff at McClure 3 and 4 ICU Unit at UVM Medical Center for their care and for providing a comfortable end of life experience.

Visiting Hours will be held Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM in the Minor Funeral Home, Route 7 in Milton. Vigil Prayers will be offered this evening in the funeral home by Fr. John Feltz at 6:45 PM

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 11 AM in St. Ann Parish, Main Street in Milton. Burial will follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery
