My heart grieves deeply at Susan's death. I am so sorry. To each of you I extend a hug and my sympathy.
I valued growing up together with her and the family being good, friendly, and sharing neighbors- times from making 'mud pies' to bicycles and then the teenage years with birthday parties in between. Memories of their Mom Dot with her kitty faced Christmas cards, and the best hung lines of laundry with Grandmother Marvinna. Father Ken working hard at having the neatest trimmed, thickest and greenest grass ever! Sending my love to Debbie and Janet with all the fond memories. Oh how time passes.
Later, while raising my children I was pleased to be a caregiver for her two sons, Jake and Travis. Sue worked hard for her family and treated me more than fair in caring for hers. I saw the very loving and genuine mom that she was, teaching them values, goodness and compassion.
I saw her last when we had lunch together. Being the giving person that she was, she wanted to buy my lunch. It had been some time since we had seen each other so we caught up on the growth of our families. We had the same connection of heartfelt caring and laughter. Her laughter will stay with me forever. I too will miss her.
Cancer is so unfair.
Bless her sweet little granddaughter Lillian. I know this must have been hard on Sue.......... (my heart cries at the thought of this).......and yet I see her being selfless; so many feelings at this sad time.
I know she will be greatly missed. Again, I am so sorry.
May you be comforted. Love Connie

I wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to all of Sue’s family. For right now, there’s no detour around grief, no shortcut through mourning. However, 2 Cor.4:7 says that God can give us, “... power beyond what is normal “, to go from one day to the next. This does not mean that we no longer cry or that we forget. It means we recover. We recover because of our hope. Jesus Christ talked about our hope in John 5:28 which says, “... all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out “. Jesus was referring to the resurrection. That is our amazing hope! The Bible likens our hope to an anchor. Just like an anchor stabilizes a ship, our hope stabilizes us and keeps us from drowning in overwhelming sadness. 2 Cor.1:3 describes our Creator as, “... the God of all comfort “. One way that God comforts us is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. May the God of comfort be your comfort now, during this time of sorrow. I was so shocked and saddened to see Sue's obituary in today's newspaper. I had no idea she had been so sick. While we hadn't seen each other in some time, I always considered her a life-long friend from our growing up years. Thinking of all of you with sincere sympathy.
