So thankful Mrs. Walford was part of my life. Definitely an important guide through my awkward years. She nurtured my love of art and connected me with my vocational class in Design and Illustration. I couldn’t imagine my life without her guidance and inspiration.
I hope all her family and loved ones feel the kindness and support she shared with her students now through this difficult loss.

I am so so sorry to hear about the loss of Deborah. Mrs. Walford was my art teacher many years ago, and part of who I am today is all because of her. I have been teaching art for 13 now, and I can still remember the day that I was in her art class and I decided that this was what I wanted to do. Thank you for your inspiration Mrs. Walford, you will be missed, but always remembered.

My deepest condolences to the Walford/Wright family. I worked with Deb for many years as a fellow English teacher at BFA and on interdisciplinary projects while she was an enrichment teacher and art teacher. I loved working with Deb- she was fearless about taking on huge projects- no task was too big. I always thought Deb was brilliant. Her creativity had no bounds.
I loved her dry sense of humor, her wicked little smile and her kindness to others. She had a positive impact on my life, just as she did on her students and peers at BFA. She truly made a difference in her world and she will be lovingly missed by many.
Rest In Peace old friend.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Walford/Wright family. I worked for many years at BFA-Fairfax with Deb. I appreciated her creative spirit and sense of humor. Once, we were on our union's negotiation team together. Deb started creating this negotiations game that included the caucus walk and impasse shuffle. She was awesome for adding levity to a very stressful process. Again, I send my deepest condolences.
