Obituary of Annette D. Boutin
Essex Center – Annette D. Boutin, 92, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday November 20, 2017.
Annette was born in St. Joachim, Quebec, on May 6, 1925, the daughter of Emile and Dorilla ( Stanislas ) Pigeon.
At a young age her family moved to Vermont. On October 16, 1944, she married Edward Boutin at St. Luke Catholic Church in Fairfax.
Shortly after, they bought their first farm and then their home farm in Essex Center, where together they raised their family and farmed for over 40 years.
Annette loved to garden, to manage their apartment houses, to work alongside Ed on their farm and being with friends and family. She also worked for Jog Bra for over 10 years and for her son Hector and his wife Debbie for 2 years.
She is survived by her children Noella LaFountain and her husband Steven of North Port, FL., Leanne Vance and her husband Randy of Essex, son-in-law Waldo Siple of Williston, daughter-in-law Debbie Boutin of Essex, her grandchildren Mary, Eugene, Scott, Lisa, Jason, Jessica, Rachel, Isaac and Jacob, 11 great grandchildren, her brothers George and Raymond Pigeon, her sister Doris Emond, several nieces and nephews and her special friends Jeannie Atkins and Randy and Lori Smith.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward in 2002 and her sons Mark and Hector Boutin, her daughter Arlene Siple and her siblings Marie, Mary, Maurice, Cora, Alice, Paul, Ida and Roland.
Memorial contributions in Annette’s memory may be made to the VNA 1110 Prim Road, Colchester, VT 05446.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday November 24, 2017 from 4-7 pm in the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday November 25, 2017 at St. Pius Catholic Church in Essex Center at 11am.
