Obituary of Kathleen M. Forant

Kathleen “Marge” Forant, 79 of Elm Place in Milton, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the UVM Medical Center in Burlington.

Marge was born March 23, 1938 in Burlington, the daughter of the late William Nicholas and Mary Ana Southwell Ryan. She had worked in sales at various retail stores in the area before retiring in 2000.

A member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Marge also belonged to the VFW Ladies Auxillary, the American Legion and the RVA and had held many offices in the three posts. She most recently moved back home to Milton to live at Elm Place on Bombardier Road where she will be dearly missed.

Marge is survived by her daughter, Pamela Sullivan and her husband, Joe of Exeter, RI; her brother, William “Billy” Ryan and his wife, Sally of Georgia; her sister, Jane Gordon of Milton; her stepbrother; Michael Dubuque and his wife, Kathy of Milton and her stepsister, Darlene Dubuque of Burlington as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Marge was predeceased by her stepfather, Francis Dubuque; her sister, Barbara Chamberlain and son Russell and her brother James “Jimmy” Ryan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 11 am in St. Ann Catholic Church in Milton followed by burial in the Milton Village Cemetery.
