Obituary of Bernice Marielouise LaPan

So. Burlington / Milton – Bernice M. LaPan, 95, died peacefully Tuesday morning, surrounded by her loving family, April 26, 2016 at Ethan Allen Residence in Burlington. Bernice was born on March 13, 1921, the daughter of Alfred and Ada (Gregan) Perry. She was married to Fabian LaPan who predeceased her in 1973. Bernice was employed by General Electric for many years, she loved crafts, crocheting, embroidering, jewelry and enjoyed camping. She was a member of the So. Burlington Seniors for many years. Bernice is survived by her children Leona Knapp and her husband Rick of Colchester, Patricia Lamay of Essex Junction, Cynthia Driscoll and husband Timothy of Naples, FL., Karan Dumas and husband Joseph of North Hero, 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Errol “Sonny” Perry of Springfield, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to Fabian, she was predeceased by her son Gerald and her daughters Betty Blaisdell and Janice Ellwood and her sisters Beatrice Hammond and Arlene LaPan. For those who wish, Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1641 Worthington Road, Ste. 340, West Palm Beach, FL 33409, www.greaterpalmbeach.jdrf.org A Celebration of Bernice’s life will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 3 - 6 in the Minor Funeral and Cremation Center in Milton, with a service following at 6pm. Burial will be in Resurrection Park Cemetery at a later date.
