Obituary of Gail A. Smith

Gail A. Smith, 74 of Milton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 with the sun shining down on her face at her home on Beaver Brook Road following a short illness. Gail was born July 30, 1941 in Morrisville, the daughter of the late Preston and Mabel Draper Twombly. She was married to John Smith Jr. who survives her. A very social lady, Gail loved to laugh and have a good time. She and John enjoyed being part of the GAP “Grandparents as Parents” group that meets on a regular basis in Milton. She will be dearly missed. Besides her husband John, Gail is survived by her children, Kim Connelly and her husband, Robert of Jericho and their daughter Adeline; Monique Genest of Colchester and son Brandon and her daughter Adelena; Robert Genest III of Essex and his three children Taylor, Tatum, and Bobby; Sarah’s two children Cody and Katie; step-daughter Elizabeth King and her husband Allan of Tampa, Fl. and their son Brady; two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sarah Genest in 2003, her brother, Delmer “Tad” Twombly and her sister, June Dupuis. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 from 3 to 6pm, with a Memorial Service held at 5:30 pm, in the Minor Funeral Home, Route 7 in Milton. Burial will be Tuesday, May 3rd at 10 am in the Lakeview Cemetery in Morrisville Memorial Contributions may be made to the VNA, 1110 Prim Road, Colchester, VT 05446
