Obituary of Patricia Hrobak Stinehour

ST. ALBANS - Patricia Hrobak Stinehour, 75, a long-time resident of the Essex area died early Wednesday March 22, 2017 at Franklin County Rehab Center in St. Albans, Vermont. Patricia was born on February 22, 1942 in Winsted, CT. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Stella Hrobak. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Bryant University in 1962, and became the first woman accountant at Coopers & Lybrand in Boston. After moving to Vermont, she worked for many years for the Town of Essex and finished her career as an Finance and Human Resource Manager at Pet Food Warehouse. Patricia loved spending time with her “Lamell family” and made many lifelong friends. She had 4 kids, but was known as “mom” to countless others. She always had a meal and a room ready for anyone that needed it (even if that meant 20 friends showing up in a Winnebago). She loved to cook, and passed down her mom’s famous apple pie recipe to her children. She was known for her lasagna, chili and potato salad, and always made extra. In addition to cooking she loved games of all kinds, from family game night to the 24-hour Game Show Network. She loved music, movies, raccoons and most of all the Boston Red Sox. She somehow managed to stand by her team in a house full of Yankee fans and proudly displayed her Fenway Park picture for all to see. Patricia is survived by her sister, Francis Davis of Chicago; her four children and their spouses: Mark and Amy Stinehour of Franklin, MA, Karen and John Seaman of Fairfax, VT, Craig and Megale Stinehour of Fort Collins, CO and Bryan and Melanie Stinehour of Berwick, ME; her grandchildren: Nick, Ben, Jaylin, Zorion, Chloe, Brady, and Sierra; nieces and nephews: Stephanie Sibal, Nicky Lewis, Wesley Davis and their children. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2017 from 4-7pm in the Minor Funeral Home in Milton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 10 am in St. John Vianney Catholic Church in So. Burlington.
