Obituary of Paul Parks Poquette
Colchester – Paul Parks Poquette, 93, died peacefully early Tuesday March 21, 2017, with his loving family by his side, at the Maple Lane Nursing Home in Barton.
Paul was born on September 9, 1923 in Alburgh, the son of Warren and Cora (Parks) Poquette.
Paul proudly served as a gunner in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
On April 15, 1950 he married Juna Martell.
Paul was a police officer for the City of Burlington.
Paul and Juna owned and operated “Take 10” catering for over 19 years.
They also owned a motel for many years.
In their retirement years, they enjoyed their home in Florida and in Virginia and summering in the islands. Paul was a great fisherman.
In addition to his wife Juna of Colchester, Paul is survived by his children Donald Poquette of Colchester, David Poquette of VA and Paula Poquette & partner Edward Cota of Colchester, by Jerry Hill who he considered a son, by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers Donald, Kenneth, Earl and Russell Poquette and his sister Leona Sanderson.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday March 24, 2017 at 3pm in the Minor Funeral Home in Milton.
