À toi Louise et famille,
Le départ de Jean-Paul m'a bien surpris, et je garde de lui un bon souvenir. Un peu trop jeune pour nous quitter sitôt. Je conserverai en mémoire les moments privilégiés de notre rencontre à l'automne passé chez tante Anita et oncle Albany, suivi d'un dîner au restaurant, où tous ensemble nous avons discuté et échangé.

Jean was a wonderful man and I will miss him. We just passed some time together at the Farm Show in Essex a couple weeks ago. I am so sorry he passed but glad to have known him.

Jean Paul was a true gentleman farmer.
I fondly remember attending his wedding as the flower girl. I was so impressed by the huge turnout of friends but I was too young to understand. However, as the years passed and I got to know him better, I realized that he was surrounded by so many friends because he was genuinely kind, soft-spoken, respectful & attentive.
Although it was never spoken, I know Jean Paul knew how fond I was of him.
I will miss him.
I hope that Louise, Nicolas and Melaney find comfort and peace in knowing just how much I admired Jean Paul.

We are very sorry to hear about this terrible and sudden loss. I must have waved to Jean Paul 20 times a day in the summer as a kid, as he drove the tractor into the fields across the road from our house. Life-long neighbor, and a great one. Lots of love to all.
