He resided in Milton with his loving wife of 18 years, Elizabeth Bluto Rice and was a dedicated and loving father to six children, Linda, JoAnn, Richard, Anna, Miles and Susanna and her husband Jason Root. He leaves his grandchildren Lance, Michael, Ashley, Vinnie and Christopher, Emil and Robert North, Carrie, Tina and Jody Rice and several great grandchildren who he loved seeing. His sisters in laws and brothers in law, Charlene Mallette, Larry and Sue Bluto, Dielene and Charlie Benway, Karin and Rick Brennan, Nancy Bell, Connie and James Hoyt and Cindy and Bill Pebler as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson Adam Rice. My Father, He is the kindest, gentlest, caring family man I have ever known, Having served in the Korean War, he was very proud of his grandson who joined the Marine Corps in 2008. He was a very hardworking man who spent most of his years farming. If you’re a farmer, you know the hours it consumes, but he always found time for his family, which was very important to him. My father enjoyed dancing and music. He was always there whenever you needed someone to put a smile back on your face. His nickname was “Happy Ralph”. His favorite animal is my black Lab “Bear”. He would bring more treats then he needed for Bear everytime he came to visit! I used to joke with him and tell him that he came to see the Dog and not me! Words cannot express how greatly he is missed. My father had such an amazing life. He has seen the world and spread his joy every step of the way. He will be greatly missed by everyone. I love you Dad.
